Peggy’s Comments…

The professional side of Peggy…
“Having moved eight times in my adult life, pursued a variety of different careers, and started my own coaching business in 1999, I have gained a broad perspective on people and a keen familiarity with handling transitions and launching new beginnings. Throughout my life, I have been interested in a variety of fields and have always been excited about learning new things and meeting new people. My desire for intellectual challenge and service to people has been the driving factor in all of my professional pursuits. Parenting a daughter with AD/HD has added a unique opportunity for growth. All of these experiences have created a broad foundation for my current work as a professional life coach.

The personal side of Peggy…
Because we love the beauty of the countryside, my husband and I have settled in the beautiful rolling country of the Virginia Piedmont. Our life together with its joys, adventures and challenges, has called me to be both an independent thinker and a strong collaborator. Our grown daughter, who is the inspiration for my career as a coach, lives in South Carolina and serves as a virtual assistant for both my husband's and my businesses. She enjoys visiting us and our pets -- my husband’s horses, Tico and Turner, our efficient barn cats, Toby and Nemo, and my “constant companion cat,” Todd.

My diversity of interests has been mirrored in my volunteer work as well, which spans the years from junior high to the present. Mental health, literacy, consumer information and resources for senior citizens, school parent boards, reading programs, book fairs, scouting and church programming and leadership are all areas in which I have served in my community.

Some of my favorite moments include reading mysteries by the fire, going for walks in the countryside, exploring textile arts, taking trips to scenic, flavorful places, and gathering with friends to visit and chat. Of course, trips to the seaside, with its salt air, expansive beaches, breaking waves and colorful flowers provide me a taste of heavenly ambrosia. And, my spirit is fed when I am in fellowship and study with others, who are seeking to grow in faith.

Discovering balance in life is of ongoing importance to me and to most of my clients.

What clients say about Peggy and her coaching:

“The best thing I did for myself was hiring Peggy Bonsee as my personal coach. I was tired of constantly feeling overwhelmed in my personal and professional life. I needed help to get some kind of balance in my life. It was wonderful to talk to someone who understood ADD. I felt I was not alone anymore. At the beginning of our coaching session I was truly stuck and negative and was not able to see beyond it but Peggy was able to show me new possibilities of how to handle different situations, projects, people, office/home clutter so that by the end of our conversation I was empowered to take action and move forward. I can’t thank Peggy enough for all she has done for me.”
-Bree Gillam, Lovettesville, VA

“ Peggy came to me highly recommended. I first contacted Peggy to help me organize my life. Just in the few months I have worked with her, she has exceeded my expectations by her organizational coaching skills and her ability to help me in so many other areas. The possibilities are endless! Thanks, Peggy, you are a lifesaver!
-Connie Spencer, Manassas, VA

“I would recommend Peggy to other people, especially to young women who were recently diagnosed with ADD or are just recently getting help for it. The coaching topics and homework were always well integrated into my regular life situations, which Peggy helped me deal with by teaching me to use deliberate strategies. And, she had a big bag of strategies that seemed endless! Peggy helped me when I first found out that I had ADD and I didn’t know how to deal with it. She helped me turn a situation that was out of control into a controllable life. She helped me understand my ADD.”
-Courtney Powell, Williamsburg, VA

“Peggy Bonsee, AD/HD coach, has been for me the life preserver one uses in deep water. While I struggled to advocate for my granddaughter, who was diagnosed with AD/HD and lived with me, Peggy was encouraging, supportive and a resource for guidance materials. She modeled how to advocate with teachers. At the same time I was attending college and Peggy was there to coach me during the years through research papers and exams to a successful graduation. The skills I learned serve me well today. I feel tremendous gratitude for the coaching Peggy gave me.”
-S. H. Hice, Warrenton, VA

“Mrs. Bonsee has been helping me with all aspects of my school work and has given me numerous tips on how to get ahead in school for about two years. I am so comfortable with Mrs. Bonsee that we not only talk about school related topics but I also share with her what is going on in my life”
-Tom Sasinowski, Herndon, VA

“Peggy’s coaching has been invaluable in helping me learn to advocate effectively with my child's school. At a time when the school expressed extreme frustration with my child's work, I was able to respond in a very positive and concrete way with alternatives which focused on looking at the progress my child had made and building on what had been most successful in the past. My response was well received. And, the school and I have continued to work in partnership.”
-Karin M., Warrenton, VA
