Personalized Learning Formula or Recipe for Successful Learning Workshops Peggy’s signature model for helping individuals with AD/HD in learning environments is known as “Personalized Learning Formula” or “Unique Recipe for Successful Learning,” which she has presented nationally and regionally. Using a system she has created and uses with her coaching clients, she introduces the elements that each person can add internally and externally to create their own unique formula or recipe for more successful learning despite AD/HD or similar challenges. Seminars & Workshops for Professionals The following offerings can stand alone as is or can be adapted to the needs of the professionals or group of clients served. Insights on AD/HD - A general introductory, informational seminar on AD/HD, which explains the nature of AD/HD and includes current information regarding neurobiology, etiology, traits, and diagnostic, treatment and management issues. AD/HD Coaching - What’s it all about? - Introduction to AD/HD and its traits along with an explanation of the rationale, essence and potential value for coaching individuals with AD/HD. Also information on choosing a coach or training necessary to become an AD/HD coach is included. Techniques & Strategies Helpful in Teaching the AD/HD Student - Teachers and administrators can gain an understanding of the AD/HD student and his/her family as well as learn beneficial techniques and strategies to support learning and manage the classroom for both AD/HD and other students as well. More Than Dispensing Medications - The Role of the School Nurse or Health Aide in Supporting AD/HD Students and Their Families An overview of the neurobiological nature of AD/HD and associated traits and the ways that school nurses can provide much needed education, support and advocacy for AD/HD students and their families. AD/HD & the Female - Introduction to AD/HD and the unique way it manifests in its presentation, diagnosis and impact with regard to the female and her life. Basic Coaching Skills for AD/HD & Similarly Challenged Individuals - An introduction to the coaching process to include basic coaching elements as well as specific skills for addressing the needs of individuals with AD/HD or executive function difficulties. Coaching AD/HD Teens - Establishing and Maintaining Rapport - With basic coaching as a foundation, this seminar addresses designing a successful coaching alliance with teens and maintaining rapport. Coaching the AD/HD College Student - Addressing the way that AD/HD presents in college students, this seminar covers the role and rationale of proactive and concurrent coaching for traditional and non-traditional students as well as suggestions for coaching them. An interactive series in a safe, non-emotional setting to examine the impact of AD/HD on the practical workings of a family/relationship, it includes topics of communication, ways to support the loved one, resource and self-care for participants. Life Coaching Topics Workshops The following seminars are created to stand as is or can be modified to meet the needs of the group or audience. Do You have a Coach For the Game of Life? - An introduction to life coaching, which shows participants how the process involves clarifying what they want in their life and creating a “game plan” to achieve it. Several exercises will give participants the opportunity to “get the feel” of coaching and begin to clarify what they want and the steps they will need to take to get it. Transforming Your Transition - For those experiencing the inevitable transitions (intended and unintended) in life, such as empty nest, new job, relocation, blended family, widowhood, divorce, etc., this seminar helps participants to view their transition from a fresh perspective. Using coaching techniques, Peggy will guide participants to begin to navigate their transitions from a positive and intentional way, taking proactive steps to make their changes work for them. Discover Your Unique Recipe for Learning Be Your Own Best Advocate - For those people who find “standing up for themselves” fraught with challenge and discomfort, this seminar is designed to shift their personal advocacy to a more powerful and effective place. Using a five-step process, participants will have a chance to address areas they have been previously tolerating rather than effectively confronting by learning strategies for setting and maintaining boundaries and speaking for themselves.
